Rehabilitation

Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy is housed in the Physical Medicine Department on the second floor of the hospital. Outpatient therapies are offered at Total Therapy Services, located at 710 S. Ryan. Qualified, licensed physical therapists evaluate each patient to determine current functional levels and then design a treatment plan for the patient.

Among the services provided are therapeutic exercise, gait training, and posture and balance training. In addition, therapists work with patients on modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation, pelvic and cervical traction massage, neuromuscular re-education, lower extremity prosthesis training, joint mobilization, and patient and family education.
