Internet Access

CHRISTUS St. Patrick Hospital provides wireless Internet free of charge to all patients or visitors. This service provides unencrypted wireless access to the Internet in patients’ rooms and other public areas of the hospital. Please remember, as with any wireless system, signal strength may vary within the building.

To use the Guest Network:

1. view available wireless networks
2. choose CHRISTUS guest and connect
3. launch your web browser.

This complimentary service is available to anyone with his or her own wireless device. Equipment needed:

• Wireless Device: You must provide your own device. Most PCs and Pocket PCs will work, if they are properly configured with a wireless network card.
• Wireless Card: You must provide your own wireless network card, which typically is installed internally or can be inserted into a slot on the side of your device
• Browser: Your hardware must use a standard Internet browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla, or Netscape.
• Printing: It is not possible to print from this public wireless network.
