Getting Registered and Admitted

Your doctor has referred you to CHRISTUS St. Patrick Hospital for care, a procedure or test. Your first stop will be a visit to the Admissions and Prepare Center offices on the first floor. The hours of operation are from 5:30am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. To make the process as smooth as possible, please bring with you:

  • Your paperwork from your doctor’s office
  • Your insurance card
  • Your living will/durable power of attorney
  • Your driver’s license
  • Your list of medications you are currently taking
  • Your checkbook, credit card, or other method of payment.

You may be asked to pay your deductible co-pay or co-insurance. When you arrive, our courteous admitting associates will welcome you and begin the process of entering your information into the computer system. This accurate electronic information will enable our staff to provide you with prompt, courteous and quality care throughout your stay with us. The admissions clerk will ask you questions about your insurance, your address, your family, and your health care preferences. You will also be signing several consent and agreement forms. A parent or legal guardian with the proper documentation should accompany a child or any adult unable to legally sign a consent for treatment.

Between 8am and 5pm, our Prepare Center nurses will complete any pre-procedure tests you may need. During this visit, the nurse will also provide specific instructions on what to do the morning of your procedure.

If you have any questions about the registration process, please call the Admission Office 491-7712 or the Prepare Center, 491-7179.
