Performance Results—Heart Failure

Heart failure, sometimes called congestive heart failure, occurs when the heart muscle weakens and cannot pump as much blood as the body requires. As a result, the body doesn’t get enough oxygen and nutrients to meet its needs. Heart failure one of the most common reasons for hospitalization of elderly patients, but may occur in younger patients as well.
